Did my first Oil Change...Ever!

It was so easy I can't believe it! Aside from buying the wrong filter first (I'm an idiot) it was very straight forward....

I just wanted to share my excitement and also state that I will never be raped by Jiffy Lube again!

Glad to hear it! Every Maxima owner must be able to service his own vehicle! What kind of filter did you use? Hopefully a Mobil 1. Congratulations again!

Next time around stick with OEM filters, you could go for Wix which is the closest I have seen to the Japenese quality.

K&N is definetly not a good filter -- I would never use it on any vehicle!!!!

Why not? Plenty of people here seem to think they are good. Please tell me as I am still new to all this.

K & N have good media and high flow rate but only just OK filteration (becoz high flow rate means ok fieration) .. I would go with Wix or PureOne which have good flow rates and good filteration.
