How often do you change your oil?
How often do you change the oil filter?

I change mine every 10,000 miles since I normally never exceed 10,000 miles in a year I change it once a year.

I also change my oil filter every 3500 miles or so. I was using K&N but I think i will switch to NAPA.

HAS ANYONE done an oil analysis with AMSOIL? If so at what mileage did you do it at?
THANKS

There are many AMSOIL users on this site. I have used the product(s) for more than 20 years and currently supply oil to literally hundreds of vehicles of all types used in a variety of applications...including, but not limited to bunches of Maximas, Infinity's Hondas, Toyotas, Audi's several new Titans, Corvettes, an 05 Cadillac CTS-V, Dodge Ram-Hemi's, many BMWs including several M3s and a 750 (12 cyl), and many commercial vehicles including a fleet of police cars and a major power utility company. The fleets rely on oil analysis to determine their drain intervals and the police fleet is currently running 20K drain intervals on AMSOIL 10w-30 with a filter change and analysis at 10K...this program has proven very successful for them, and they have yet to have a bad analysis or mechanical failure.

Although I have many customers who successfully use AMSOIL in accordance with AMSOIL's 1-year drain recommendation (with a filter change at 6-months), others are more comfortable with more conservative intervals. I use AMSOIL Series 2000 0w-30 and drain it and change the filter every 6-months regardless of mileage...lately I have been accumulating 9-10K during this time. I live in south Texas and the temperatures are very hot here in the summer months...my car uses absolutely no oil between changes and routinely delivers 28 mpg. Based on the results of UOAs I could definitely let the oil go longer, but it's really not much of a bother nor much of an expense to change the oil since I would have to change the filter anyway.

I had installed an AMSOIL by-pass filters on other cars I had owned...on one of the vehicles I ran AMSOIL 10w-40 for nearly three years without draining it...just 6-month full flow filter changes and annual by-pass filter changes. I had the oil analyzed annually and the UOAs always came back good with no corrective action required.

Believe what you want, but the oil definitely works...

I heard people going well over 10k w/ a filter change inbetween.

I personally go between 4k - 5k

I just switched to Amsoil. I plan on doing it once a year. But that is only 4-5K.
