Nissan Coolant Life Expectancy
I have some Nissan coolant left over from two years ago. I was wondering if it is still good to use the leftover coolant or should I buy a new jug of coolant?

This is brand new coolant that was left over when I did a flush two years ago. I used a 50/50 mix so I still have the jug half full.

I am sure that after the 50/50 mixture was made, at some point the extra coolant was exposed for some amount of time. I had the exact same thing happen when I flushed and filled with the Toyota Red about 2 months ago....just better to be safe and buy new.

my friend had a leak a few days ago on his 98' chevy tahoe, and when i checked it out it was red, so i figured it was tranny fluid but it didn't smell like tranny fluid. then he tells me that he uses red coolant. i was amazed. i thought there was only green coolant. whats the difference, cause my friend didnt know why. thanks

diff't color could just indicate different brands. like honda blue, nissan green, prestone green. peak is yellowy green.
what counts is doing ur rad flush at intervals and not waiting. i used honda blue, no over heat.. but the nissan green that i flushed out was REALLY green, and a radiator for an 8 year old car erally good.. inside no rust or corossion..
meanwhile my other accord which has a new radiator for about 6-7 years already shows signs of corossion using prestone, or no one knows brand..
