Mobile ATF

So I just flushed my tranny and put Syn Mobile ATF in. I didn't really think I would feel a difference just from adding the liquid. But I was wrong. The shifts are incredibly unnoticeable. Sometimes I can barely tell it shifted. What a difference! I guess I had better feel a difference for the price of the stuff. Autozone had it listed at $6 a bottle so I thought I was about to get really hit, but it only rang up as $5 a piece.

I changed mine pretty early, so I never really noticed a difference. I do feel better having it in there though.

10 quarts. You'll probably need 12 to do a full flush.

Mobil ATF would be in a blue bottle(i think) Mobil 1 is synthetic and is in a silver/grey bottle. Either will work, the syn will just work better

I took 12 to an express oil change place to do the flush and they only needed 10. Brought the other two just in case and returned them to pep boys afterwards.

This may sound dumb, but when i wanted to buy some ATF, the guy at pep boys said i needed..dextron....something cant remember right now, but my question is...If i were to go to pep boys/murrays/autozone and wanted to buy synthetic ATF fluid is it just plain "SYNTHETHIC ATF FLUID"? or do i have to search for the correct "TYPE" for my 97 max ? as in Dextron/Mercon 1, 2, 3, 4?

Mobil 1 ATF is Dextron/Mercon compatible. Some cars take Dextron (GM comes to mind) while others take Mercon (usually 3, Ford comes to mind).
