well i had Redline MT90 in there when i did my short shifter than my drivers side axle seal started to leaking so i needed to replace it but i could not get any Redline MT90 on such short notice. The best i could find locally was Mobil 1 75W90 Synthetic so what i am running now is 3 quarts of Redline Mt90 and 2 quarts of Mobil 1 synthetic. I should be getting My oder of redline oil this week so i will drain the whole thing and re fill it,

AMSOIL recently introduced a new 75w-90 GL-4 lube specifically designed for use manual transaxles and other applications requiring the use of a GL-4 gear oil. See my post in the Group Deals section of the forum. I offer all AMSOIL products for dealer cost...cost for the new gear oil is $6.20/qt ($7.80 retail) plus your local sales tax and shipping from the nearest AMSOIL Product Center.

That's what I'm using on my tranny, purchased locally in Portland.
For God sake's, dont put anything labeled GL5 in your tranny....GL5 is made primarily for non-shifting gearboxes (ala transfer cases and differentials) and the additives in GL5 oil will over time soften (hence ruin) the soft metals in a transaxle -meaning, the brass/alloy synchros.
Nissan trannies require GL4 oil ONLY. Only only only. If you put the vaunted Mobil 1 GL5 liquid, yes, it will shift wonderfully -for a while, at least...
