00 maxima, brake fluid + coolant

I seem to have two brake fluid containers, one yellow one black.
The black one is slightly bellow minimum.
Which kind of brake fluid should I fill it with?

Also, My coolant container is almost empty.
What kind of coolant should I use?

thanks.

I suspect the one below minimum is your power steering reservoir. Do not put brake fluid in that reservoir.

Do you have coolant in your radiator? If its full, I wouldn't worry about the coolant container as it is just for overflow. When was the coolant last flushed? It should be flushed at 30K and again at 60K.

Bobo, the black container is marked "brake fluid" on top.
You sure its for power steering?

Also, the coolant white container has barely any fluid in there.
There is actually a fly in there lol!

Thanks.

Maybe u can take a picture and post it with the things you are referring to circled. Or explain which container you are talking about and the apporximate location.

The container was the clutch fluid reservoir.

I could use any DOT3 brake fluid for that?
Also any recommendation for coolant which I would be able to pick up somewhere close like autozone etc?

Use any Dot 3 brake fluid. Some like the Xerex coolant. Ask them about long-life coolant, ie. something good for longer than the typical 2 year change recommendation.
