noticed something strange (auto-rx)

I'm 700 miles into the first phase of auto-rx cleaning. During the last couple of days I noticed that oil pressure light would light up for a couple of secs after WARM starts. I know that it's generally considered normal on most cars but I have never seen it lighting up on my car.

Should I do anything about it, what do you guys think?

Thanks in advance

I dont see how adding the proper amount of aut-rx would trigger the light to come on. If your oil level is good, i wouldnt worry.

Is it possible that a dislodged piece of large debris might be affecting your oil pressure sensor?

Typically, sludge would not be dislodged until the rinse phase (2nd phase). I have just completed both phases and pulled apart the oil filter only to find some trapped particles. There were no clumps of anything.

The VQ30DE's aluminum block is not prone to sludge accumulation.

What's "a couple of seconds" to you, 2 or 6 seconds? My oil light has always flickered about a second or so every start, even during the Auto Rx. I'm wondering if your noticing something that's always been that way. Again, it depends on what "a couple of seconds" really is.

It stays on for like 2 seconds. Before I didn't have anything like that.

I highly doubt it has anything to do with the AutoRX.

Update:

I just got an email front Frank (the guy who invented auto-rx.) He said that it's nothing more than my internal sensor getting cleaned and that it should stop sometime during the rise phase.

I hope he is right. lol
