New set of rear calipers and rotors all around

Hi guys I just changed all of my rotors and both rear calipers since I had some dragging issues w/ them. I was changing them in order you bleed the brakes, so I didn't have to take the wheels twice just for bleeding them. Unfourtunately I forgot to unplug neg cable from the battery. Manual says to unplug it in order to bleed brakes. I have ABS. So after changing everything brake feeling isn't so impressive Altough I just put new pads and rotors. One more thing: When I pump brake pedal few times while the engine is off. Brake pedal becomes hard only on third or fourth time and then goes a bit further. Should I try bleed them later or it's a sign of some bigger problems?
Thanks for your replies in advance Serge.

Bleeding sucks cuz the hassle, but yes you should've taken it step by step, NO EASY way out for BRAKES !!

Bleed them and take your time, buy a few extra bottles so that you assure yourself during the process and that you don't have to worry. It shouldn't go down more than 1 inch in my opinion, while pumping (car off).

I've bleed w/ my car off, and I didn't disconnect battery so I don't know if it really MATTERS, but I don't have ABS, so I dont knkow.
