amsoil vs mobil 1 oil filters

I'm currently using the m1-105

thinking about switching over to an amsoil oil filter since I order all amsoil products now.

Amsoil says the 3.5l takes the Amsoil SDF-13 (pricier than SDF-20 and smaller).

Since it cost more is the sdf-13 better?

also how does the sdf-20 compare the m1-105? are they both oversized? which is bigger?

should I just stick with the m1-105?

The SDF filters have been replaced by the EaO filters. While some Product Centers may have some remaining SDF's in stock, that stock is limited to current inventory. While the SDF-13 was physically smaller than the SDF-20 it contained a large amount of filtering media compared to other filters. There was/is also a difference in the calibration of the BP valve on the two models...the 13 was set for 12-16 psid and the 20 was set for 18-20 psid. While some customers chose the SDF-20 for it's larger size, I always recommended the 13 to be consistent with AMSOIL's recommendation.

You would use the EaO-13 for your application...it's much larger than the previous SDF-13, virtually identical in size to the OEM filter, and is the model recommended for your engine.
