Kendall synthetic oil

I want to start putting in synthetic oil, and after calling a local japanese import car garage, the head mechanic (fairly well known in my city for excellent and honest service) said they use Kendall oils...has anyone had experience with this? how does Kendall live upto Castrol Syntec?

Thanks in advance...

Kendall oil is good. Their fullly synthetic oils are comparable to the made-in-America Castrol Syntec. On the other hand, the German Castrol Syntec (0w-30 European Car Formula, says "Made in Germany" on the back) totally blows it out of the water.

Since you live in Ottawa and given the winters there, the best oil on the market at the right price would be Esso Extra XD3 0w30, PAO full synthetic.

This is only available at your local Esso bulk plant/commercial card lot and not at gas stations or stores.
It is not sold in the United States.

It is at least 1/3 less cost in Canada than Mobil 1 5w30 synthetic oil and is a better oil.

It is gaining rave reviews on www.bobistheoilguy.com based on UOAs and VOAs.

I have been running it since February in my 95SE and plan on running it year round with 12 month, 8,000 km OCIs.

I wouldn't hesitate to run it for more than 5,000 mile OCIs in less than a year if I drove more.
