Is this German Castrol 0W-30?

Went to Autozone today, and found "Made In Germany" Catrol Syntec 0W-30. I searched online and GC is suppose to have the "SAE 0W-30" in red, and also say made in Germany, as well as list BMW, MB...etc requirements. The oil itself is regular gold colored, so is this the "new" GC? It is still as good as the old green right? Thanks!

Nice find. I was searching for this stuff for weeks in NJ and couldn't find it. Word is they are no longer importing it.

Cool, so I did find GC after all, albeit not the old green stuff. My local Autozone has at least another 10qt of this stuff, on the shelf alone. I could get you some if you'd like.

Thanks for the offer. I ended up getting a case of Amsoil 2000 0W-30 which I'm very happy with and will last me for a while.

If this is the new GC, all Autozones *should* have it right? Or is GC hard to find overall?

Before this info came out the two autozones near my had several bottles of the GC. Now they have none. Checked again today and they don't even have a row for it any more.

I think they're taking it off. I worked there and went back to see everyone a few days ago and noticed they dont have a spot for it, however they are selling a BMW/MB spec'd 5w40 syntec oil, havent seen that before.

I went and bought the remaining 10 qts my Autozone had left. 1 bottle was M06, 6 were M04 (pics below) and 3 were M01??? I know M01 is not green or gold, so is it as good?

The M01 is pre-GC. Use it in your mower. Other than that good find. GC is pretty much history.

I was thinking about giving the GC a whirl next oil change.

However, it looks like I'll stick with Esso XD3 0w30, PAO, full synthetic which I am very happy with so far.
