Brake fluid shelf life?

From my last brake bleed about 6 months ago, I bought the big bottle of Valvoline Synpower DOT3/4 fluid. Used maybe 1/2 of it during the bleed, closed the cap on the bottle and left it on in the garage.

I am due for another bleed because my brakes are spongy and need a good inch of pressing before it bites. Can I re-use that bottle? Or just buy a new bottle just in case?

Thanks

brake fluid is inexpensive. I would buy a new sealed*bottle.
