Walmart supertech 7317 filter vs Mobil 110 and Supertech Synthetic

I am getting very curious about this...so I figured I seek the advice and comments of the collective knowledge. I was doing some shopping last night at walmart and decided (was curious) the supertech filter 7317 versus the Mobil 1 M 110 filter for our cars. I was suprised that the two filters looked identical, down to the laser stamping for manufacturing, thread pattern, can weight...even the inner gasket are identical *blue rubber* only thing was the media inside that I could not tell, and the two stickers for brand-- Mobil versus Supertech...
Just wondering if anyone has used the supertech filter and also if anyone took it apart...I have search through the net and seen a cutout of this filter...looks very similar to the Mobil 1 -- 2.84 versus average of 12 for the Mobil...hmmm...

Haha no clue! But I have used the super tech filter, I mean seriously, I JUST started trying it out. Along with some Castrol Edge and so far no problems.

But the only way to tell if it didn't leave paper or anything in the oil is to wait until its time to change my oil and so

The supertech filter and the mobil 1 filter are made by the same company, at present. that's why they're virtually identical. However, walmart changes who makes their crap more often than truck drivers fill their gas tanks, so its not reliable to go down this route permanently. The company is Champion btw

EDIT: when i said virtually identical, i meant in terms of construction. The walmart supertech filter is made of standard paper, the Mobil 1 is made out of synthetic filter media, which filters better and holds more crap. If you change every 3000 miles, use walmart, if you wait longer between OCIs, use Mobil 1 or whatever other quality filter.
