My experience with royal purple has been as follows.

In my 2001 maxima I saw no chance with Royal Purple from mobil1 synthetic.

In my 1984 corvette
-Before it had some dino oil im not sure what kind
-dash said fuel economy went from 16MPG to 20MPG on the highway, City went from 7MPG to 9MPG.
-Hit the higher RPM's way more easily.
-Shaved 1 second off my 0-60 time
-Car started burning oil like crazy before using RP it never burnt a drop.
-Check engine light came on oxygen sensor related, im guessing it was from the burning oil. This happened after a month.

I wouldn't put RP in my maxima again but I did see some improvements in my corvette before it started drinking it back.
