i been using this oil for a while now. but i notice every since i had this car the motor when cold start it sounds like a quiet rod knock for about a second or two. it doesn't sound good its quiet but i can hear it dont sound good its been doin this every since i had it 2 years ago. i make sure im up on oil always it doesn't burn oil and has 288k miles but i think its rebuilt runs to damn smooth.


should i try using a new oil? it may be the valves i hear in the mornings but its deep knock. kinda from the timing chain area.


95 maxima 3.0l automatic.

 

No do a search. lot of people have this and turns out to be TC tensioner and componets

 

is it something to worry about? my mechanic just put new water pump in and said it was good.

 

Always use the Castrol High Mileage on my car with about 138,xxx and to me its good!!
