the question of oil grade... again...

ok so i know weve had many threads on this but i wanted to ask again., ok her my situation my max is an 04 and consumes about 1 quart of oil daily i drive about 240 miles daily tho., reason being i commute from orange to indio for work,., i currantly use 10-30 castrol syn.

i was wondering if its ok to use 20-50 grade oil being that the whole way back and forth the slowest i go is 60 mph the average is 80 mph and highest is 100mph, and the temperatures over ther in indio and about half of the commute touch up to 120 *f but average to 105 to 110
any ideas guys?? and yes i do realize i have an oil consumption issue. im saving up to fix it.

I would try out German Castrol 0w-30, I hear its more like a 40wt than it's posted 30wt. Don't know about that 20-50 it might be to thick. But I don't know that much about it.. Hopefully someone can shed some light.

I drive to Twentynine Palms, Bakersfield, Tehachapi all the time cuz of work without any problems.. Well Tehachapi isn't that hot like the other two. I don't go under 80 when I drive and mostly push up to 120mph. I have no problem starting up my car, turns on fine in any weather. I'm using German Castrol 0w-30
