Just started the tc-w3 treatment on my 98 max se. Hope it cleans the $&@k out of my injectors. Been getting a sporadic bucking almost like a miss in drive/ reverse at stop. Swapped all coils and changed plugs to no avail. Cleaned tb/ iac etc. fingers crossed with the treatment

fyi did some sea foam then a couple tanks with chevron Techron and the bucking happens much less frequent so I think problem is fuel related. Also changed fuel filter recently.

Sounds like a bad injector, disconnect the plug from the coils one at a time to find which one it is, what you're looking for is no change in idle, that's the bad injector.

Tried that before I swapped coils. Idle bogs down on every cylinder when coil is unplugged.

I run TC-W3 in all my cars. No injector problems, no idle problems and no smog check problems. Been running it in my cars for 7 years now. This stuff is bomdiggity!

Is there a shelf life to TCW-3? I haven't put it in my car for a few years now and recently the P0400 code started coming up, so I am going to do two things:
- replace the gas cap
- refill with premium and add TCW-3

Can I use the TCW-3 that has been sitting in my garage for 2+ years?

It looks like there's no shelf life according to this link. https://forums.iboats.com/forum/engi...-w3-shelf-life

...but an EGR no/low flow DTC doesn't have anything to do with a gas cap or with fuel grade.

After the new fuel and fuel cap replacement, letting it run 30 min and driving around the past couple days, the EGR code hasn't come back but I'll post if it does.

Thanks for the ideas, guys.

i also saw a wawa gas station in the Poconos with an ethanal free 87 octane. pretty cool!

Tried TC-W3 for first time last night at a fill up on 5th gen with 225042 miles. Was my moms car and recently inherited it. Notice a difference already in smoothness at idle and quietness. I’m a believer!!
