Oil Lubricated VS Oil-less Air Compressor

Is it safe to say the oil lubricated oil compressors will last many more years than the oil-less? I have an oil-less and the motor seems dead, it can't even fill the tank anymore and it's only 3-4 yrs old.

Yes. Oil lubed are quieter, stronger, and last longer. You could rebuild yours but it may not be worth it.

Go with oil lubricated. My 3 gallon oil-less sounds about as loud as my 60 gallon oil lubed one. Though I do not have long term exposure with compressors, I have more faith in the oil lubed one being around in 5 years.
