Maybe post this in your gen forum. With the VG, it looked to close for comfort.

Not really clear actually.

Yes, I'm sure people have used them (as have I). Do you just want to know who else has used one before? They do work pretty well.

The issue with the VG is that the side cover of the tranny looks like it'll smack the part of the engine bay above it, when trying to lift it out, then if moving it in the opposite direction, I may smack the pulleys against that other side of the engine bay.

I'll take some pics today, i'm removing my engine with the leveler and removing the tranny from below. You'll see what I mean how close it is.

Read my post buddy in the 3rd gen forum when I post pictures tommorow of the hoist that failed on me.

I'm getting my money back and going with a different brand.

Ok but is was basiclly stating with the leveler you can shift the weight of the motor and transmission and pull it out all together instead of taking the trans off first its a 4 gen 5speed, i just did a dek swap was goingto rebuild the de motor then swap it back

I sent the inquiry to Costco and they haven't gotten back yet. Problem is it is brand new but I bought it 1 yr ago. Manufacturer instantly responded, but not sure if I want a replacement from that same brand. I don't think so.

I like using a leveler for minute angle adustments, especially when you don't have a helper. But mostly just to keep the chains off the engine and causing damage.

Good point, your right - I noticed the leveler keeps the chains kind of on the outside. I was wondering if the rocker covers would get damaged from the chains, but it didn't seem to do any damage. I also put rags in between to pad it a bit, in case it did pull against it.

See photos in 3rd gen section of leveler.
