ac compressor removal y2k max

does anyone have any idea how to remove a snapped bolt (head only) on the ac compressor when all other bolts are removed fine. The head is gone, so it should just slide off, but it won't. BTW it's the bolt that is behind the compressor pipe (lower, driver's side) and has no clearance (1"-1.5" maybe). So drilling isn't really possible.

Please someone give me a good idea!

Thanks in advance

Not sure how the 2k max is, but most AC compressors I've seen sit on another bracket and thats what actually connects to the block. Can you remove the bracket together with the compressor? Pics?

i was able to free the compressor by using a screwdriver and rubber mallet on one side, and a crow bar on the rusted side. I then slid the ac comp halfway down the bolt (as far as i could) which was just enough to fit a monkey wrench in there and was able to turn out the screw all the way!

Looks like you got some corrosion giving the extra friction. Use this stuff on the bolt when you slide the compressor back on:
