Have you checked the dealer price yet? I needed the same VC for my VQ35, and I think I only paid $30 for it from the dealer.

See if someone on the .org can get you a dealer discount. My VC was about $30 and my engine cover was $90 thru a friend that works at a dealer. I was surprised that the engine cover was so much more than the VC. BTW, have them check the price on the 2004+ VC, I heard it is an improved design and is much cheaper. My VQ35DE has the 2004 VC. It should be the same as 2002-2003 but with better spark plug tube seals. There is a thread somewhere on the .org about how the 04+ is improved, cheaper and fits the 02-03 fine.

 

get a 6th gen valve cover. same engine better part.
