Hey guys, I'm going to paint my valve cover this week. I need a little help on instructions and materials needed for the job. Please help if you can, Thanks!

Speaking of painted valve covers

No one actaully takes the time to paint the cover on the right bank, due to it being out of sight (I could be wrong)

heres what i did

went to Autozone
bought 1 can of bull dog adhesive for paint (makes paint stick to plastics)
bought 1 can of red paint (use what color u want here)
went home
took out valve cover with allen wrenches
cleaned the valve cover with simple green really good
let it dry
covered letters i didnt want painted with masking tape
spray 1 thin coat bull dog adhesive for paint
wait 5 min
spray another thin coat of bull dog adhesive for paint
wait 15 min
paint 1 thin coat of red paint
wait 5 min
paint another thin coat of red paint
wait 5 min
paint another thin coat of red paint
let dry for at least 3 to 4 hours
put it back on
looked at it
enjoyed it

if these instructions arent clear just follow directions on the cans.

The way I did it was I covered up whatever I didnt want painted with vasealine. I used a Q-tip to apply it. Then i just started to spray away. Left if over night and then the next day i just cleaned the vasealine up. And it was very easy. Just make sure it is all straight.

Who me?

I'm probably going to use either red or black.

I just did mine today. I painted it blue. I only cover up the middle section, the NISSAN logo on top I didn't cover up. Look pretty cool. I wish I have a camera. Sweet...!
