What was your first ride?

1969 Austin Healy Sprite. 65 hp and about the size of a size 11 sneaker, but boy was it ever fun in the twisties. With the top down and with all those Smith's gauges it felt like being in a WWI biplane.

87 Ford Tempo GL
This car sucked @$$. The odometer started back up because of the high mileage. I finally got rid of it when my front axel cracked as I was driving home. It did get me to and fro for 6 months and it had a fake leather interior!

86 Chevy Cavalier....that thing had more rust than paint on it, and when you slammed the front doors, pieces of the frame and panel would fall off.....but it got me from point a to point b for 2 years!

1978 Pontiac Grand Prix LJ - Grandfather bought it for me in June, 1989 as H.S. graduation present. It only had 50,000 miles and was fully loaded with leather and moonroof.
6 months later it was stolen, recovered, and fixed up again...Got into accident 3 months later and totaled the car!!!

1997 Chevrolet Lumina LS fully loaded (a rarity in those cars!).
My dad gave it to me 2 years ago when I turned 16. Now a few months ago after having turned 18 I got my 2nd car, which I drive today (I35 kicks a$$!)
BTW - Chevy Luminas = 0 fun. No mods, and truly drove like a boat.

'89 Jeep Wrangler. Hard top and Soft top, chrome tubular bumpers all the way around, blacked out. Sweet ride for high school, but horrible gas mileage and leaks oil like crazy now. Still have it, but it stays in the garage for sunny days The hard part is deciding whether to put money into that or the max...

'87 Toyota Celica POS. Lasted about 7 months till the engine blew on the freeway.
'90 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST. Major *** kicker. Had it for about 5 years until I sold it (a/c broke) for the Max. It was still running strong. I miss that car.

Another older guy
First car was a 1969 Ford LTD hand me down from my parents. Definately a boat. Second car made up for it-1967 390 4 speed mustang fastback, lots of mods. Ran high 11's. That car was a blast, but only got four miles to the gallon.

1974 Datsun B210, 4 speed, brown mustard color, paint was an inch thick in places covering the rust. Had to park on inclines so I could pop the clutch to start it or else spray gumout into the carb to get it going. I LOVED that car.
