5L V8. good ol R34 a/c or whatever that old one was i forget. suspension softer than a waterbed. trunk large enough for 6 dead bodies..er golf bags. nice bench back seat *wink wink*. nice bench front seat *wink wink wink*.

so much wear that:
1. the leather is rubbed off the steering wheel so i just have a plastic ring.
2. all the chrome stickers have rubbed off the buttons like lock/unlock and windows.
3. dash is so sundried that the holes drilled to look like speaker grills fell in...so the speakers rattle and buzz now.
4. radio antenna broke off
5. rear seatback and rear dash is white instead of burgundy
6. outside rear vinyl is a little off red
7. no more tape player

man i love that car.
got pics?

My first Car.........

I bought my 1995 Nissan Maxima SE in 1996. Six and a half years later.....it's still my first car. If I were to get another car, I probably would still hold on to this one...it's going to be a classic!!

1993 Nissan Maxima SE (auto) Beautiful blue color, nice handling, comfy interior, rattle free.. too bad it gave me problems. I would have still been driving it.

Dodge Omni. Great first car to peel out, and jump in. I miss having a beeter to have fun with. When it used to ice, we would all head up to the malls, get going about 60 in the empty ice covered parking lot, then turn the wheel and whip up the E brake. It just wouldn't be right to do that to the max.

Really Old Guy

I must be the oldest guy here. My first car, believe it or not, was a 1950--Yes--1950 Ford, Straight-8. I paid $50.00 for it. Among other things, the starter did not work, so I had to always park on an incline to start it by compression. Really makes me appreciate what I have today. Laugh will you can, one of these days you will be my age...

My very first car was a Midnight Blue 1987 Oldsmobile Toronado. If you saw the dash inside that thing, it would've looked like you were driving the Starship Enterprise, lol

It looked neat outside but the inside was even cooler, it was cool having a digital dash & gauges, and a message center telling me what fluids I was low on and what other stuff was wrong with the car, also neat was the trip computer telling me how many miles/gallon I was getting, and how many miles I could drive until empty.

Too bad parts for that car cost an arm & a leg and Oldsmobile stopped making them after 1993.

My first car was a 1980 Camaro. Base model, it was red. I had it for two months, when it caught fire after getting a kill switch installed for the POS alarm.

1974 Opel stationwagon.
olive drab green
no radio
no a/c
no backseat
no brakes (literally).

drove it approximately 8 miles. said "hell no" to my parents. they were fine with it...well, until they sold it and got me a 1966 Buick LeSabre with a push-button transmission. talk about a boat.

Finally said the heck with it and rode the school bus until my friends got cars.

My first and current car is a 1998 I30t auto...wish I had 5spd. I bought it near the end of my senior year in HS. Ppl ask me why I like such an "old" car, and I ask why do you think a SOHC 1.6 honda engine running striaght pipe is considered to sound deep and powerful

P.S. Girls dig big comfy cars

1967 Dodge Dart GT. 273 CID, Auto, Buckets, Crager SS's all around with Mickey Thompson G60's in the rear, Mopar Pro hood scoop, jacked up in the rear. Ah, the old days when Japanese cars were used for daily drivers and the only really fun cars were American, had big blocks, went really fast, and got really crappy gas mileage.

1954 VW

My Uncle sold me a 1954 VW (36 HP motor)for $350 in 1962, as he was a Volkswagen mechanic in Millbrae, Calif, originally trained in New Zealand in the late 40's, and he fixed up old beater VW's and resold them. I also had a brand new 1966 Chevy Nova 350HP 327 I bought my Junior year in HS. I have also owned a 1969 Nissan 2000 roadster that I had for 10 years, and that's what sold me on Nissans. Now my pride and joy is my 2001 Maxima GXE 5-speed with Bridgestone S-03's and aftermarket lightweight 16" Enkei RS5's. I've installed Courtesy FSTB and Addco RSB, put in aftermarket PIAA Ion Crystal fog lights and PIAA Super White 80/80 headlamp bulbs, and I can say that this is the best car I have every had. You don't need sunroofs, rear spoilers, power heated leather seats, Satellite nagigation systems, and all that other expensive showy crap to have a nice car. Doesn't have the neck snapping acceleration of the Nova, but it handles as nice or better than the 2000 roadster. Now I can confidently drive the windy roads to Reno and back, and get by the lumbering SUV's and big *** pick-up trucks like they were standing still.

'89 toyota corolla (the round shaped one, not the boxy design).
that was the car my mom destroyed and i inherited in '99. then went on to a '95 jetta vr6 in 2000 which i sold and got the '95 max last august (2002). I needed something bigger so the max fit nicely. i'll keep it until next year september. then i am defenitely out of the sub 1995 market

My first car was a 1977 Mercedes Benz 280E, with the M110 Straight Six DOHC, 12v motor. Car was heavier than hell, it could probably snap a maxima in half if it t-boned it, but somewhere in the neighborhood of 4000lbs. Very strong built. Despite the weight, once you got the sucker going it went. I had it up to 130mph once, and that motor sings when you run it hard. Main bearings started letting oil passed it, motor seized because of the lack of oil pressure, but it have well past 300,000 miles on it when it gave. Hope my max will be the same, long lasting, and strong.

1978 Toyota Celica GT hatchback. I loved that little car. It finally crapped out on me at 195,000 miles. The clutch and the alternator were the only things I ever had to replace on it.

88' Mazda 323. Auto tranny, NO power steering (Good exercise)

I miss that car. Wasn't much in amenities but damn did it have good pickup for a little 4 cylinder. Stock. Great gas mileage too. NYC to Buffalo on one tank of gas. Can't beat that.

No power-steering, no A/C, and only 52 HP. It was still fun to drive, almost like a go-cart.

first car: bought it from my mom, 87 BMW 325 coupe 5speed(121hp, 171ish ft/lbs), black, black leather..a few weeks before i got my lisence i had my first system put in (CV SS 5.25"s, aiwa deck, JLw0's). got my lisence on a wednesday, it blew up on that sunday. thats right, i had that car for 4 days.

second car:month or so after the BMW exploded(faulty FPR or something..who knows) my dad found a pristine 86 325 coupe 5speed except it had blue leather and it was dark blue outside. bought that, new rear brakes, installed the stereo from the first BMW, slapped on an intake, catback (cheapo custom..louder than hell, i learned to hate it). sold it almost 2 years ago and bought the max.

third car: 92 max SE 5speed. needs a motor, bad valve seals, low compression (not THAT low...120psi-170psi). waiting to find a decent loan and it'll be brand new at the beginning of the summer.

fourth car? 2k3 SE/TE? G35 coupe? dare i venture to say E39 ///M5? we'll see...

1980 Datsun 200B (810). Warm L20B, 4/Spd, IRS, totally stripped and spent 80% of its life tail out on dirt bouncing off embankments. Looked like a complete POS but was indestructable and allowed me to thrash up and down for hours along a fantastic, tight, deserted 10 mile long dirt road in the hills (5 mins from home) pretending I was a WRC driver at age 16. There was even a shallow river crossing! Great fun but a long time ago.
