What to do
Contact your agent. If your agent is worth anything and appreciates
your business they'll go to bat for you. To help your agent get you
a better price, you're on the right track. Other supporting evidence
is available from the classifieds of your local/regional paper. See
what other cars are listed at.
The woman at the claims center told me my Honda VFR750 (rest her
soul) was only worth $3200. Since none had sold in my are I sent
my agent listings from across the country (www.classifieds2000.com)
and got a local dealer to say what he'd sell the bike for. All that
was given to my agent who came back to me just 2 days later with a
check for $5000.
Information is your weapon in this case. Arm yourself to the hilt!
