Shop 4 Auto Ins On The Web!
I'd like to share this with everybody.
New Jersey has just about the highest auto insurance rates in the country. I've been with a company called AIG for the past 4 years. The rates have been very reasonable. I pay about 1,200/year for my 99 Maxami with full coverage.
I got a renewal in the mail a week ago and noticed a rate increase. An increase of about 40%! A very nice letter was also enclosed indicating that some rates may have gone up.
I hit the web and did a search on New Jersey Auto Insurance and came up with a few interesting hits. One was an independent organization that would search all my local agents and find me the lowest rate. So I figured lets give him a try. I filled out all the info and submitted it over the web. This was done yesterday in the late morning.
My phone rang at 7:30AM this morning and much to my suprise it was the organization I sent my request to. A very friendly guy on the phone gave me the good news. He quoted me a rate which was 50% lower then whay my current insurance company quoted me on my renewal. The rate was actually cheaper then what I had been paying to AIG in the previous years.
If you think your paying to much for your auto insurance, shop around and use the web. You might get lucky like I just did!
