WTF!...car stalled

WTF!...car stalled
this is the first time my car stalled.
well i was driving for a good while b4 it stalled. right b4 it stalled, i stepped on the gas a lil more than half way to get passed a few cars...when i slowed down for a light all of a sudden the car shuts off...good thing i was at a red light...i put the car in neutral and restarted the car and drove home fine. i have no clue why my car died...i have a 99 with 36k miles on it..i do my own regular maintenance.
has this happened to any b4? any help is appreciated.
edit: the rpm did not jump around like some posts that i read.

he Time my auto stalled was when i put my car in reverse and put it in drive right away but..
Heres Some Suggestions
Check all your vacum hoses from your intake
Run Your ECU Codes
check trans for leakes ect./low fluid
alternator/battery
thats all i can think of right now....
