I just bought my car 'bout 3 weeks ago and noticed that i only get like ~215 miles per tank. And i think that's REDICULAS....!!!! CUZ THIS CAR IS LIKE GAS GUTTER...I KNOW PPL WHO HAS SAME CAR AND THEY GET MUCH MORE THEN I DO. Can somebody please help me to figure out why am i burning my gas so much and is there any thing i could do to get better gas average. i got 95 gle automatic with 45k mile on it..Please Help...

 

drop me a line. i just don't get it no matter how fast i drive it still uses alot of gas, i use alot of gas in a traffic jam.

but one thing i tryed was octane booster. it olny worked for half tank. as soon as i reached the half tank line it started drinking the gas again.

 

It is more than likely your o2 sensor. I am going through this right now. I am hoping I just got a bad batch of gas but we'll see. I filled up and am ~ 70 miles with just a tad over 1/2 tank

 

45-50 miles later i'm at 1/2tank.

 

should it really be o2 sensor? cuz the car is only 95 year model and its only got 45k miles on it.

 

anything is possible. It was just a suggestion (one of the more common problems).
