I have a friend that wants to put 2000 GS300 16" wheels on a 97 Maxima. The wheels are 16 x 7.5 and have a 50mm offset. I was wondering if any of you guys are running a similar wheel with an offset close to that. Please post here or email me. The tires are 215/60/16.

One of the Austin guys has 17" GS400 wheels on his Maxima and they fit fine. They are also 50mm offset. The only thing he had to modify was the center bore. It's too small. He had to have a machine shop increase the bore slightly (forget how much, but it's on the order of 1 mm). Your friend will need to do the same to his 16"ers. Besides that, they should be fine.

that offset wont work, keep it under 45

I have a 45 offset and I can't imagine a higher offset working... mine is already too high...
