Based from your experience....

Would you get your 5 speed transmission rebuilt by Phoenix Hard Parts or just get a used
surplus from japan ( one available - low mileage ~30,000 miles)???
I can't decide what to do.. My mechanic thinks that we should just get a surplus but me, on the other kinda like the idea of sending my transmission to Phoenix and have it rebuilt. They offer 1 year unlimited mileage warranty for everything ~1100.

What do you think?

 

Would that include upgrades to the tranny? When I had my truck tranny rebuilt, they built it to shift like the Camaro's 4L60E rather than the truck-like 4L60E. If it would be upgraded I would do the rebuild.
