2002 air condition

Hey Guys,

There is a smell coming out of the vent when I turn the AC on
.

Does anyone have this problem?

I'd spray some lysol or febreeze throught the fresh air pickup while the a/c is on high. The pickup is under your wipers on the drivers side (between the hood and the windsheild).

If that doesn't work take it to the dealer, and don't let them tell you to fix it yourself. I know from experience they will try to blame it on you or try and make you waste a bunch of time doing some bs they made up.

thanks...
i got the smell when i just got the car. Went away afer couple months tho. my dealer suggests me to spray stuff like tilex into the vent under the windsheild wipers, but i don't feel like doing that as i was afraid my car is gonna smell like tilex. anyhow...the smell is now gone, its probably just the new in-cabin filter smell.

This explains what causes the smell and how to fix it. Don't spray Lysol or any other cover up crap down your vents or in the intake. Your only masking the problem, not fixing it.
