white spots on engine...

the engine on my maxima was a little bit dirty, and my friends father put aluminum wheel cleaner on the engine and then rinsed it off to get rid of the grease, well....within a few minutes there were these white spots all over everything plastic that got the cleaner on it, and they wont come off. does anyone know of a way to get rid of those spots???? I am very mad that he put the cleaner on and had this result

I hate to tell you this... but there's a good chance that they're not removable. Wheel cleaners are VERY abrasive. The best thing is to call and ask EagleOne what to do.

hmmm...not to jump to conclusions but possibility you have a leak in your radiator? Same thing happened to me, I thought it was a cleaner or something, each time I just started my car for a short bit white spots would appear...turned out my radiator had a leak but it was under warranty so all good

no its not a leak, cause this is the first time it was cleaned and there have never been any spots..plus they are on other spots too, i can try to paint some stuff (the caps that got ruined) but i guess the rest is just gonna look like crap now
