I've left probably 20 of my spotcards on Max's in the past 2 months since I made them up. My user name is on it - just waiting for the day when I get a PM from someone who got it.

Just trying to enrich their Maxima experience with the org and max-world... and get someone else hooked on mods...hehehe

I'm not sure if there are that many .ORG members in SD, but I'm always keeping an eye out for at least kloogy or NYC2SD...

And What's wrong with Stock. You don't have to have your Max slammed to the ground with 18's and mind blowing stereo or have all your lights cleared out, and have all the mods to have an appreciation for Maximas.

Yes, I guess I didn't explain that well enough and now I guess I'd better. I see alot of 4th gen's on the road and most people driving them are middle aged and older. I wave to them and they look at me like "Huh". There's nothing wrong with stock but it's easy to spot something like clears and that driver usually will be a little more friendlier.

IMO, all 4th gen's should have at least clear corners.

Weird...around here there are mostly younger folks driving max's. There are, of course, your typical middle-agers as well (hi, Mom, Dad).

around here i see either younger people (30 or less) or retired folks, usually in a GLE with no wing, smallest rims, etc.

a max certainly presents a better value than a camry, and is roomier (and more powerful) than an accord, so i could see where a luxury-trimmed maxima would appeal to people looking for a comfortable ride for a non-lexus price.

little do they know there's a beast inside waiting to be unleashed! the beach boys' "little old lady from pasadena" comes to mind...

and no, i don't honk at them either.

I'd waive, honk, no. I live in Chicago and for some reason, never see anyone with a max, what the hell. Anyone in Chicago? Damn.

I guess i'm kinda weird, if I see a max in traffic, very rare, and he needs to get in the lane or something, he/she has the first shot.

cool replies, great thread

I'm in Los Angeles and it seems most people in general are pretty pretencious. You pull up next to them and look over and they just give you the "what are you looking at look" You know sizing each other up. I figure most .orgers are pretty cool so a thumbs up or honk is cool with us.

MaximaZero left me a rice ticket once. He said my violations were:

-Red/Clears
-Rims
-Lack of Type R sticker

It was pretty cool to just get that note.

Would you feel weird if somone honked at you to say whats up? We all seem pretty friendly here and I assume the moderators do background checks to get rid of the psychos Then again maybe some of you slipped through.
I ask because we all seem really comfortable chatting away on the net, but would you feel the same if you saw someone on the street. Just wondering.
I live in Southern Cal, and since we're home to the most modded cars on the planet (SO CAL REGIONAL FORUM hint hint)I figure there's a good chance I'll run into some of you guys
as long as it's another maxima honking at me i'm kew... but if it's another car honking i might take it the wrong way and then bad thigns would happen.

I would definately wave/honk/whatever to a fellow maxer. Just a few weeks ago I was trying to get on the highway and it was heavy traffic, a black 97 or so maxima let in on and I all waved and was like "hey you kick *** man!" though he couldn't hear me. I don't see any modded maximas around here though, Oklahoma that is, at least I haven't seen them yet.

i usually just pull up next to them and crack my window open just enough to stick out my thumb. Usually the passenger will laugh. And then off i go.

just be careful about giving a thumbs up, depending on what part of the country you're in. in some cultures, thumbs up means "sit on this!"

I have a question about the stickers; I am not much of a sticker fan when it comes to my car, but I am intersted in showing my .org membership. Does everyone put the sticker in the same place (like the left quarter window)?
