does anyone know how to identify tranny??
e.g. if there are 3 different engines with 3 transmissions next to it. how do you find out which transmission goes with which engine??

I know that the auto transmission is something like RE4F04A.
The 5 speed is like RS5F50A. Those with a "V" in the serial number are equipped with the viscous limited slip differential. I'm not sure what the 6-speed 2002 uses though. If you check on the shiny metal plate in the engine bay, it'll tell you what you have. This can be located on the passenger's side firewall.
