Car tinting

I want to tint my 99 Maxima, do you guys know any websites that have instuctions or videos on car tinting? Should I do it my self or get a professional to do it? What was your experience when tinting your car yourself. Thanks

I say get a pro to do it. If you have ALOT of free time on your hands I guess you can try it. Tinting is not an easy thing to do. I paid $160 for my tint and I feel its worth it. Hope this helps.

i paid to have my rear window tinted, just because its too tough to get in the corners and everything because of the angle of the window. but the others are easy to do yourself; i would still recommend getting it done professionally if you have the money, cuz it'll probably be under a warranty should anything go wrong with the tint...but if you want to do it yourself it isn't hard at all.

Ok I've decided to goto a pro to get the tints done. Anyone from NYC know a cheap place to do car tinting? I went to one in Brooklyn (18 ave and 84th st.) and they were very cocky, so I left. Plus they wanted to charge me $240 for the tinting of my whole car, 99 maxima. So if you can recommend me to some good and cheap car tinting stores it would be nice thank you for the help guys

If any of you guys in NYC want to get tints go to Gauranted Alarms on Coney Island Avenue. It is a little expensive at $200. However, when they tint your car the tint goes all the way to the top. There is no gap that other shops have at the top of the window.

DoGGx23, I was in the same boat as you. See if you can do a search about tints. I pulled up allot of threads from Chicago people on their recommendations.
