Varible intake IN..
Well after many hours at Jay25's house and lots of blood... My variable intke is in. Not working 100%, still need to connect the vacum lines and wiring, but zipstripped open.
The power above 4500 rpms is nice
In my auto, 1st gear ran out of breath..not tonight, pull till the redline
2nd gear.. at 60 she comes alive and screams to 80
3rd gear... OH MY.. I won't say the speed but after 5000 rpms it's like the pull you get at 3000 rpms... she went full bore till redline.. MMMMmmmmmm ... felt good
4th gear.. waits till another day
the car seriously takes forever to get to 4500+ rpm's right now..wow.. I need this thing working ASAP
If you own an AUTO and like to drive fast.. this is a MUST!!!
More to follow tomorrow.
Thanks to jay25,mr.cranman,mardigras,redmax007,kevin97 for hte help

yes you do pat. the best way to describe it is just like the pull you get at 3000 rpms... it's like another power kick.

Re: Re: cool baggy
what else is involved in the MEVI install besides removing the stock manifold and putting the variable in it's place? wiring and new hoses or what?
i removed and replaced my intake manifold when i got it polished myself..

Wiring of an RPM switch, vaccum acctuator, new hoses and a few other things. Nothing extremly hard..just time consuming.
More of a weekend project, just as long as you have another vehicle to take you to the parts store.. really sucks riding a bike to the parts store.
Also it depends on how you want it to look. Right now mine engine bay looks like a zip strip factory exploded in it. I will make it look better once everything is working
