Clearance Light Question

OK, I am currently a law student, and I have been reading up on Illinois law pertaining legal/illegal bulbs. I am confused on this matter because in just about every other state, people occasionally get pulled over for having blue lights. Now, I have hyperwhites for headlights, blue for the clearence, stock for the light that stays on (next to the blinking light), then blue for my blinker (which I don't use too often). Now, I can't find anything, anywhere, nor has a cop been able to give me the information when I went up there and asked (they didn't tell me legal or illegal...just blew me off). From what I have read, according to DMV websites, Illinois legislature sites, etc..., they only say that we need to have lights that work. I'm keeping the lights in for now, and have not gotten pulled over for close to 3 weeks for this, so is it legal or not. I read baout 40 threads pertaining to this issue, but very few (2) had anything to do with Illinois. Sorry if this question is fairly old.
