Xenon=electrical Fire?

I really wanted green headlights so i got the xenons and they caused the headlight harness to melt; i also heard of 2 reports where they started a fire? Is this possible? if so are there any safe bulbs that i can put in and still have the green tint (my max is sage mist green)

if you go cheap then this is what happens... you should get a headlight harness upgrade if you run ANY overwattage bulb. The best way to get the results you want is to buy a HID kit but they are around $500 on average.

same thing happened to me, if you go to high of a voltage with a bulb its gonna get hot and soon or later it's gonna melt the harness and could cause a small fire

Can't you just put in the stock wattage bulb instead of a higher wattage one?

yea but if i did that then i wouldn't have the xenon green anymore and i really want to keep the headlights green, but can't i just get a new harness at strauss or will this also happen again until i change the bulb?

you can order an upgraded wiring harness for about 40 bucks from www.carparts.com or maybe www.nopi.com this will solve the problem

Coolbulbs.com also has the heavy duty wire harness. I was thinking about getting one.
