best start?

how do you get the best start with a 5 speed? i have heard a couple of opinions but i would like to hear what others have to say

The very best way is to slip the clutch from about 3k and manipulate the clutch so that you get ever so slight wheelspin. In addition to being the best way to launch, this is also the best way to wear out your clutch fast. But doing this I get consistent 2.4-2.5 60' times. Unless you have drag radials, you're not going to get anywhere fast dumping the clutch...

Clutch slip from 3k has given me the best results, I manage better than 2.5 60' times though, I only ran it 4 times and all my starts are in the 2.2-2.3 60' range. the clutch dump will just spin the tires uncontrolably so stay away from that techinque.
