V1 Rocked. Specially if you like the sound of a Vortech SC. Which I do.
V2 Is a POS (Well, atleast the stillen kit that uses it is).. It's supposed to be more quiet but I don't think that is always true. And stillens kit has so many problems it's not even funny.
I think the main difference had something to do with the way the gears are cut. The V2 is less efficent but more quiet. Other then that I don't know.
I'm not sure what the changes Stillen made to the kit are, but I wish they still had their older kits with the V1.

V2 uses helical cut gears like in most modern transmissions. V1 uses straight cut gears which are are a little stronger much much noisier in operation. Ever heard how loud a race car transmission is? Straight gears there. Same noise you get from the V1.
