I think Nissan nailed it with the metallic blue paint they use. I've seen other metallic blue paint jobs on other models of cars, however none compare to the Maxima. I don't know what it is about it, but it just looks like the perfect paint job to me. I was also curious as to how much a metallic paint job like that would cost. Thanks.

 

Which metallic blue? The one on the Z or the Majestic Blue on the Max?

 

I'm pretty sure he is refering to the Metallic blue on the Maxima his post states that. I agree Majestic Blue is a really nice thrue metallic blue paint. I notice the different shades of blue out ther and even though i am bias Majestic bleu is one of the most metallic of them another nice blue is the blue on the Lexus SC430, but that cost over 60K to aquire.

Yep. They did manage to get a really nice sparkly blue out of it. The only aftermarket paint i've found to match it (and paint my RSB) was from RustOleum.
