Yeah just yesterday I got back.

If you are looking for car accessories cheap then hop on the MTR to Mong Kok, and just about three blocks from the MTR station is a whole block of nothing but car stores selling everything from audio stuff to guages almost everything you can want.

I picked up quite a load of stuff, I'll take pictures and start my own thread, keep your eyes open.

Do they speak much english in hong kong? Like that MTR place someone was talking about? I've been to Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands,Italy, and Luxemburg. I didn't have much trouble communicating with the people there.

What is there to do there besides car part shopping? Why are you going? Visiting Family?

i went to HK, well like 5 years ago, and it didnt have any car parts there, all it had were cheap t shirts and fake watches.

HK still rules tho, nite life is crazy there.

 

great place to visit i went 3 years ago..stayed at the holliday inn..AND NO it wasnt a DUMP...it was extermely nice. Kowloon is great to get lost in shopping malls..and the MTR ( if i remember right its the train) goes everywhere. Cheap good food too..LOTSA RICE!

 

Dude, my boss just got back from Hong Kong. I got a fake Rolex that looks exactly to a tee the same as the original on the outside. I went to a Rolex dealer in Tysons Corner Mall and the real one was $5400.

They do speak some english...not much, just daily basic. I went there two years ago and I did ok there without speaking much cantonese.....asking direction, where to buy what, toilet (funny u have to ask for toilet, not "restroom")....it is a fun place. I am going there to visit my gf's family....yup time to meet the parents.

 

thx all for your support....I will try my best but remember....I couldnt bring anything big or it wont fit my luggage. I am thinking of small items and non-performance (stickers, shift ****, t-shirt, pedals, etc.) And If I made connection with shops there, would you guys trust someone oversea???

just heard a story from a friend.....her bf bought a lot of goodies from HK and the entire luggage was filled with car stuff. When he came back and they opened it up.....they taxed him and claimed that he's going to use those to make money!!!
