High Flow Cat - $55.00?!?!?! Interesting...

I bumped onto this HKSA Nissan Maxima 1997-2001 Stainless Steel 2.5" Bolt-On High Flow Racing Ceramic Catalytic Converter.

MAXIMA 97-01 BOLT-ON HI-FLOW CATALYTIC CONV

For US$55.00
Last I checked the RT Cat was $150+
Even if this is half as good as the RT, it's worth the money.
Any thoughts?

Why did you get smaller rims? did you sell your old rims? The high flow cat looks good... i wounder why they dont have it for 95-99... high flow cats dont do to much, but for 55$ why the hell now

Its not a cat. The point of a catalytic converter is so it reduces smog levels. That thing is just an expensive test pipe. It even says that you have to remove it during yearly inspections.

I would be careful buying anything from him. He has alot of negatives and some members wasn't too happy with his products.

There is a thread on this 'cat' somewhere, apparently it is junk (Junk on e-bay, unbelievable ). I am to lazy to search for it right now maybe somebody else can.

On preview darksands is right, it is not even a real cat.

They are my stock 5-spoke rims. They are about 4 lbs lighter than the 18" Enkei's. (19.6 vs 23.2)
I guess that "cat" is really an expensive test pipe.
OT: Based on an approximate unsprung weight calculation:
1 lbs. wheel weight ==> 32 lbs weight of the car ==> 2 wheel HP ==> 3 crank HP.
Therefore my 4 lbs heavier 18's are killing 8 fwhp compared to stock 16" rims. And this is across the powerband. On the upside, I get better traction, looks & handling.

The seller has been talked about several times on the org. Use the search function and type in his name.
