Mechanics! HELP!!

Hello Maxima lovers. I m enlisting your help. I have a '96 five speed SE and I find that everytime I push it really hard, a jolting sound comes from around the front wheels? Does anyone know what this is? Everything looks like it's in order when I jacked it up, but it can't be good! Please, any help would be awesome. Thank you.bolin@pop3.utoledo.edu

When does this jolting sound happen?
When you release the clutch?
When you punch it in 2nd gear?
When your on the highway? @ what speed?
Cornering?

More info please...

What suspension do you have, stock or aftermarket?

Recent brake job?

How many miles are on your car?

What was the name of your 1st girl friend? (we wount tell your wife)

It has stock suspension. No recent brake job or anything. It pops when I punch it in first. Like right when the torque kicks in, there's some kind of movement or at least a "pop." My car has 127,000 miles on it. Any hints or ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

Um, Nicole.

Lower control arm bushings or the front engine mount. Can you determine left or right side? If it sounds more center, then the front engine mount. If it's left or right, then control arm bushings.

It sounds pretty central, but what is the cost to repair the two options? Thanks a lot for your help!
