Introduction & Objective

Well, jason and myself are thinking about doing something rather cool for the maxima community. He brought it to my attention the other day, with this little link: http://forum.dtmpower.net/showthread...threadid=59849

edit: I just changed the design of it a little bit from what you may have seen early in the day..

Why do you need are help?

We need your help to give us opinions on what you want it too look like. We have our own little ideas, but we need the insight from you all. This will be an on going project so please help as much as you can with this, so something cool can happen from it.

Also, those that have some really really nice pictures of there cars(must be modded), could you please send them to me at luke@vqpower.com or jason at jason@evolution-autodesign.com They must be high resolution 1024x768 or above.. some 800x600 pics should be fine but we need very high quality here...

We are also thinking something along the lines of this.. but with only maximas.

There are endless possibilities for these things, but making more than 3 different designs for production purposes would be a pain in the a$$.. And would cost more. Money issues will be dealt with later, but don't think this isn't a serious project, I've lined up two printers and just need to get them a final idea.. Luke and I will be producing the designs, BUT IF ANYONE WANTS TO SUBMIT IDEAS FOR DESIGN PLEASE E-MAIL THEM TO NOT CLUTTER UP THE THREAD.

I think that you ought to find pictures of other Generations and make one poster with all the Gen's in it. I'd buy one.

 

can u put third gen pic in the poster or just make only 3rd gen poster?? Thanx and i am intersted and i will buy them if you make it.......

 

good idea, make some bank roll on this.

 

i like the cartoonish kind of drawings. that dtm poster looks tight. but then i am also a very big fan of japanamation and initialD cartoons. if it were like that i would get one for sure...

 

i agree, a cartoon pic of the max on a poster would be good.

I like the idea of a poster with all the generations on it or even maybe posters with just 3rd, 4th, or 5th gens on it. And the cartoon idea would be cool too, kinda like those ZUM posters/t-shirts.

 

The big thing is if you pick just one or 2 Maximas for the poster, then others will be jealous. I must agree that a cartoon version of the Maxima whether it be 3rd, 4th or 5th gen would be ideal. That way no one feels that their ride should have been used. I know this would be a lot of work for you guys, but it's just a suggestion.

 

Thats exactly the problem, what I want to do is, if possible to get one a couple of the maximas and make a cartoon version of different parts of each car together. maybe even some none existant stuff?

We would definitely be able to do one for each generation, 3rd, 4th, and 5th and I have some decent drawing skills so I'll whip up some stuff in class this week and get it online..

The problem with doing individual cars on this is cost, it's just not worth the time when you make like $0.15 on each poster.

I think there will probably be a vote on the actual cars chosen I would imagine, or the cars will be ambigious, as to say you won't be able to say that's "thebigsadler's 4th gen" or "nvmymax2's 5th gen."

Ideas are good guys...we need more than 4 or 5 people though.. more designs to come.

I def. agree, I can send you some sweet pics of my car (hint hint ) Even if u aint got any I30's id buy a poster, I luv maximas! Just as long as the poster isnt like $500 im down. I think the cartoonish stuff is kinda cheesy tho, I like real pics!

 

id be down fer a couple as long as the posters arre in the 20 range. i think a vote for best 3rd 4th 5th etc would be the best and most fair way. cartoons would b corny. but i'll see em bfor i pass judgement.

what is it going to say a the top of the poster?

if it doesnt say anything then its just a big picture of someones car.

makes a little more sense to say - maxima.org or vqpower.com something like that.

good idea about 3 posters for three different gens.

def like the idea about voting for the best max of each gen.

i would buy all three.

 

The Maxima posters are a great idea but it does not have to stop there, if you could incorporate these onto long-sleeve and short t-shirts I'd be a loyal customer, I mean whenever I am in the mall I always some shirts with drawings of Supras' or an Escalade with dubbs+two why not us, Nick is on-point when he says that you would make a killing here on the org.

Yea, that went into consideration as well..

No worry, I30's get love too.. Also still debating on weather to have real or cartoon pics, we shall see what jay brews up during the week.

 

This is a great idea, can't wait to see how it turns out. I'll definatly buy one.

I'd love 1, or 2, or 3... But seiously, I think that the real pictures would be better, and that either separate posters for each gen, or a poster with all of them would be nice. I think that ngthing's car would look good for the 3rd gens in addition to the others mentioned. Shirts would be great too!
