Possible I did a drift?

So anyway I was taking this turn to join the Highway, naturally the light was turning red so I had to speed up. Took a 60 degree turn and I felt all 4 of my tires slip (keep in mind I was doing 45-50 and I had my music cranked so could not hear crap) back slides out at least a good 4 feet and I feel myself losing traction in the front. Countersteer to correct the problem and voila problem solved

Gawd that was fun I feel the need for a rwd car next.

The reason for this madness? Well obviously I was playing Project Gotham racing no more than 2 minutes before hand

I'm not saying this is you, but it seems now that whenever someone loses control and skids then corrects they think they drifted!

Didn't really die. I figure I could have pushed it by another 15 mph before I really lost control I've done harder drifts than that in an 88 Rustang.

it depends on what people think of the definition of drifting. drifting is sliding with certain control. it is the level of control that makes the difference. therefore, "some people" believe one can only "drift" well in a rwd - controlling both the direction (front wheels) and the speed (rear wheels) as the one desired (at a certain level).
but all kind of setup (awd, rwd, rwd) are there in the rally race. rwd drifting does not nesscessay means their cars are faster (in the dirt). Beside, anybody watch the award-winning jun awd evo drifting knows drifting can be anything.

Taking turns at 50 mph no matter what the angle, cannot be good for handling.

???

Geez, I must have crashed this afternoon.

I took a bunch of curves at 80+mph.

Of course, they were on the Interstate.

A bunch more curves at 60+, on some back country roads.

If the traffic is right, I can hit one of my local interstate ramps at 45 ... 35 if I have to use the correct lane

Only time I go drifting....

Disneyland parking lot on a rainy day. The lot is so slicked with oil and covered in maybe a quarter inch of rain. It's a huge smoothe empty lot. The beauty is that most people go home or back to the hotels when it rains and only the sick people like myself hang around.

Drifting is not when you slide out of control, its getting to that point where one wrong move and you do go out of control. I had a 240 for a while, hence my name, and I lost it due to a drift gone bad. God rest its soul.
