Tint Advice

Not too long ago, I got my windows tinted at 20% all around. I love the way they look on the sides, but sometimes when I walk out to my car in the parking lot, I wish my back window had the really dark 5% tint, where you can't see anything at all.

Do you guys think I should go back and get the back window retinted at 5% or would this look weird have a super-dark tint on the back with just 20 on the sides. Anybody else have 20/5?

Thanks,
Jonathan

Re: Tint Advice

I have 35% sides and 5% rear and it looks good. I don't see a problem with having 20% sides with the 5% rear probably looks alot better. I wish I could have 5% all around, but texas law sucks. I guess it all depends if you want to spend the money on the new tint.

Yeah, TX law sucks..I would have 5% but I'm going to at least stay *close* to the legal limit w/20 on the sides.

Any pics of your 35/5? I'm willing to spend the money if it doesn't make the car look "off" or "imbalanced".

It was really bright and the sun was hitting directly into the car. They actually look half that dark...and at night they're awesome

Ever almost hit something when backing up at night with it so dark in the back?

IMO, I think the 5% in back, 25% on rear sides, and nothing on the front is just wrong.. why not keep it all the same?? Do you really need it so dark that NOTHING can be seen? I understand guyz in AZ to help witht he heat, but whats really goin on in there unless you got something to hide or a really oogly interior.. IDK

I just hate pulling up to a light and have people stare at you, with the 5% they can stare at their own ugly mug!!

Thats cool.. I see it as: Pull up to a light with some friends, she and her friends pull beside us. Thier lookin, we're lookin, and soon end up pulled over talkin somewhere But if I'd of had 5% we would of drove off knowing they were hot, and for all they knew we were a couple of gangsters or old dudes.. see where I'm goin with this?

I understand. I have 7% all around, and b4 I got my tint I hated people staring me down at the light. Now I can give them the finger. Or if not that I roll up my windows on them when they look really hard at me.

I just had 35% done on my car all around, which is nice because its dark but not ghetto style...unless you live in warm or hot areas the 5% all around isnt really needed, although next car or tint job I get done is going to be 20% all around, I want it to be just a bit darker where people cant see me
