Damn...that must truly hurt. It sucks when you inadvertently scratch your car. Just the other day I was pulling my car into a parking spot and I just missed scratching one of my rims (by less than a quarter of an inch) because something in my head told me to stop. It appeared that the curb (I was at the the corner) curved out at the very end....... phew!!!! close one!

Good luck in fixing your paint scratches.

Man that's messed up, I hate when stuff like that happens. And it always seems to happen when you have something important to do.

I hope everything works out for you....

1 wash car
2 use touch up paint (thin layers)
3 let car sit in sun for 1 hour or use low-level heat gun to dry paint
4 use low-level rubbing compound/swirl remover on area
5 wax entire car (recommended product: mother's carnuba in a tin)

Dam jeff, i really feel for you =[

I was dynamating my trunk 3 days ago and parked half way int he garage and halfway out cuz ITS HOT!!!

ANyways, im in the trunk, all i hear is. HMMMMMMMMMMMM
The garage door is ACITVATED!!!

I RUN to the switch and click it, NOTHING! NOTHING!

The garage motor uses its 1/2 hp and pushed the garage onto my roof,
it looked like a hungry garage in for some metal!

Garage door crumbled up, and just a dent on the top right roof.
WHEF!!

Last but not least, my moms boyfriend who came home and "opened" the garage door without looking, says "Why did you park there?", and gave me directions fo fix the crumbled in half garage door!

Brings a tear to ym eye,
My Max has 777 miles on it, 3 weeks old!

I know. He was beside himself last night. CKNY is on the right track I think. Put a big Nopi sticker over it and you WILL win!

That really sucks, and I know exactly how you feel. Like 2 weeks ago I had a shop install the graphics I got from Jason (bigsadler)...anyways they did a really crappy job so i took them off.....everything was fine until I did the drivers side door and took off like a half inch patch of paint along with the vinyl down to the metal...I still am waiting on the stupid touch up paint from nissan...its just annoying because my car was flawless except for some small spots on te front bumper from bugs, rocks etc and now that...worst thing is its like smack dab in the middle of my door as well...

Jeff, listen to the guys and rub that sucker out. Head to Kmart and get the 3M compound and refinisher and you'll be fine. If the scratch is white, it means you only scratched the clearcoat. Polish it at NOPI too to keep it hidden.

Dont worry you werent gonna win anything at NOPI!....J/k, I cant say anything bad about ur car cause it is so sweet all around, execpt the scratch. Just park ur car at an angle so the judges cant see it. Ur car is still sweet, even with a big scratch. Hopefully you can do something to hide it.

-BTW- I know how u feel! I was takin my dads 57 MGA conv. out of the garage this afternoon. And somehow the rear left side scraped the side of the garage! Im sure he wont notice for a while, but I did wash, scrub, wax many times, cause its mainly brown paint on a green car. Its commin off a lil, ill try again tom. I was so ****ed when I did that!
