taught bro how to drive stick last night

yup. I took my 17 year old brother to the local HS parking lot and let him try to drive my 5speed. He got it on the second try! Then after a while he started stalling out over and over. The car was bucking like crazy It turns out he left it in second gear. I'll let him do some more practicing on his friends CRX.

I dont know how to drive a 5 spd. My dad taught me when I was 15 how to drive his 4 spd 57 MGA . Its close enuff to a 5 spd, after many times of misshifting and griding gears, im a shifting ace To bad i got an automagic.

I learned how to drive one with my first ride... an 85 Chevy S-10, 4spd. My friend has been begging me to teach him to drive a 5spd. I just keep telling him when he buys one, I'll teach him, lol.

i learned on my friends early 90s mustang GT.. i remember doing it pretty good. After that i had some practice every now and then when working vallet parking.. only real experience i ever got was with this max.. i've only had it for like a month.. been driving it a little over 2 weeks and about a week ago i really started loving it and got to a point i'm starting to love it more and more every day.. rowing through gears and being able to accelerate like that is one of the best feelings.. i don't know if i'll be able to drive an auto again

I taught my wife in about 5 minutes in a parking lot in my old '97 Altima. Next weekend she took the car across Michigan by herself. Now she will only drive a stick

that was like my 5th day driving the 5 speed
for some idiot reason i tried to shift when i was in 4th.. i should have taken it up to redline.. but i was either trying to downshift to 3rd or shift to 5th, which would make no sense.. but thats when i blew it all..

we'll do it again though

Hmm .. I learned by test driving them! I'd tell the sales person I knew how to drive stick .... woo hoo!

Granted .. I had three motorcycles prior to ever driving stick in a car .. so I had the concept / fundamentals in my head .. they just weren't quite in my feet & hands .. though .. all of the sales people I had were pretty accomodating.

I've now taught my sister, my cousin and a girl I had a crush on ...

The girl I had a crush on was far & away the most uncoordinated person I've tried to teach yet ... I told her straight to her face while we were in her jacuzzi ....
