Just Got Keyed

I was in a theater watching a movie (Banger Sisters if anyone is interested) and when I came out, I found someone put scratches on my passenger door. Bad visible ones! A horizontal that is in length about 1/2 - 2/3 length of the door and 3 or 4 horizontal ones.

I did not provoke someone to do it either; did not take someone's parking place, did not cut someone off, honk at them... nothing!

Probably just some kids going to a movie. I even checked to see if the theater has cameras outside as I would try to have the police catch the kids but no luck.

Now I'll have to see tomorrow how much it will cost to paint the door. Sh*t! I'm pi**ed. Car has just over 3200 miles on it (5200 kms), still shiny and new (just bought in June).

Damn kids... no respect.

Wow, it feels good getting it off my chest to people that will appreciate the pain I am now going through.

Sorry to hear, getting keyed definitely sucks. I only got keyed once by someone, didn't do anything to anyone either. Luckily I was able to get the scratch out with polish. Sorry I wasn't able to post anything more constructive, but I feel your frustration!

Last month someone put a really big dent into my front driver's side quarter panel. Dent was so large I couldn't even open my door. To make matters worse it happend while I was parked in my own damn apartment complex. $500 for a new quarter panel. Some people are so scandalous!!!

I hate reading stuff like this. I know what it feels like too. Someone damaged my car in the parking lot only 2 weeks after it was bought. It's still not repaired because I don't have too many miles and when I go for my first oil change, I will get a quote. I hope it doesn't burn your wallet fixing it. If you wanna see pics of it.. Look What Some Moron Did in the Parking Lot

Of course you are right, I have no idea who did it. But most adults know better and there is more of a chance that it was kids than an adult. If it was a door ding It could have been anyone but an intensional act like that is usually done by kids.

And thx for the good luck wishes.... will know my cost of repair later today.

Just got my new Digital Camera so finally, here is a pic of the damage. Got a quote from an older gentleman that is semi-retired that did some wonderful work on my last car. He is a friend of a friend and did that his whole life so he is good. $200.00 CAD. It could have been worse but oh well... Will have it done next week sometime. Anyone near Montreal need body work, he is great.! A litle hard to see... Damn that Zaino shine... get in the way

Are those 3 pinstripes I see? Good luck with those, they are often hard to align perfectly.

Yeah but it's like principal, principle, affect, effect, and so forth. It's comprehensive, not comprehension! Comprehension is grasping something, and not the way you're thinking!

Oh yah, BTW... He's repainting the whole door. They can not be repaired. They are deep, you can feel them when you run your fingers over them, down to bear metal.
